What was the point of having real world flight schedules, lots of AFCAD gates and hundreds of additional AI aircraft if the result was crippling frame rates? The primary reason for poor frame rates was the use of aircraft that are quite unsuited for AI use. You can still find these unsuitable aircraft at many flight sim sites as well as at sites dedicated to AI traffic, but fortunately after 3 years, there are a lot more really good AI aircraft models available than there once were.
